My passion lies in creativity, but my goal is to share what truly matters. Whether it’s a compelling story, a fleeting moment, or a bold idea—I aim to communicate why it’s worth knowing and remembering. Photography and videography provide the ideal medium to bring that message to life.
If your goal is to share what matters, you also need to know how to share it. I’ve been fortunate to work across a variety of organizations, from marketing agencies to non-profits to ministries, helping each develop strategy to reach and engage their own unique audience through digital and print media.
Creativity often goes hand in hand with versatility. Beyond media and marketing, I also have experience in design, programming, and database management. Whether it’s designing promotional materials, developing digital tools, or organizing the systems behind the scenes, I enjoy bringing ideas to life from both the creative and technical sides.
As part of our efforts to continue promotion of the Cooperative Program, we got permission from Tennessee Baptists Mission Board to make our own version of a video called "Together". Our video featured our own voice actors, custom animations and footage more specific to our contexts. You can watch the full video here.
One of the aspects of my position with Louisiana Baptists that I really enjoy is taking our Graphic Designer's event artwork and bringing it to life. During May, I was able to set aside a few days to do this with our YEC artwork. While I didn't make the design above, you can view my animation by clicking here.
Geaux Conference is an annual event geared toward equipping and mobilizing collegiate students for local, national, and global missions. With the event being relatively young, we wanted to make a promo video that captured the vision of the conference and the impact that can be made by attending. All of the voices in this video are from students from Louisiana serving on mission, and were recorded in the mission field. You can view the full video here.
Several summer camps are put on every year by Louisiana Baptists, and some of our camps opt to communicate the ground rules by using a fun video! We had the opportunity to sit down with our Children's Ministry Strategist to script out and stage this video, bring in volunteers, and produce this video that will be used for the next few years to help students learn how to have fun in a safe and respectful manner! Louisiana Baptists hosts several conferences throughout the year, and one of the more effective ways to promote these is to create a series of what we called VSPs (Vertical Speaker Promos). However, we often got mixed results in the submission of these. To help remedy this, I created the VSP Guide PDF. While this didn't fix every instance of mixed-quality submission, we did start seeing a massive improvement with this simple two-page PDF! You can view the whole thing by clicking here!
The Cooperative Program is the backbone of many ministries that we are a part of, but it's also somewhat of an unsung hero. After getting settled as the new Video Producer & Digital Content Coordinator for Louisiana Baptists, I took it upon myself to create a series of posts that would run year-round highlighting ministries supported by the Cooperative Program. These posts typically include a statistic or fact regarding the highlighted ministry, as well as a link to more information and a tag of the related account, if applicable. One of my final media projects at the Arkansas State BCM was laying the groundwork for was our Student Testimony series. Our goal was to semi-regularly share quotes from members of our serve team pertaining to their testimony or their experience with our ministry. This also had the added benefit of highlighting individuals that could be ambassadors of our ministry our on the mission field.
Each year at the Arkansas State Baptist Collegiate Ministries (A-State BCM), we try to make a big push to send students on mission trips that will not only benefit the people they minister to, but also trips that can develop our students into stronger, more confident followers of Christ. One of the ways that we do this are through testimonial videos. You can find a few of those videos here.
While working with Highland Drive Baptist Church, we wanted to try reaching out to students in our local schools in new ways. As part of this plan, we designed cards and apparel that would be immediately recognizable and more easily associated with our ministries. To do this, we needed to design a new logo that could be used alongside, or in place of, the former. We decided that the unique front-profile of our church would be an excellent asset in the pursuit of this goal. This new logo was easily placed on designs, whether digital, print, or on clothing, and, most importantly, the students loved it!
The BCM sends out a newsletter annually to update alumni on the state of the ministry, to recognize staff, give building updates, share student testimonies, and much more! We had several meetings over what the tone, color scheme, layouts, and overall message to be communicated was, and we (and our alumni) were thrilled with the result! You can view the newsletter here!
Toward the end of the Spring 2024 semester, we realized that it was probably time for an update on the website! We analyzed several other ministries that reach similar audiences and goals, and opted for a simplified design, that had fewer pages. We wanted all critical information to be on our front page, and all important information to be one click away from the front page. With this in mind, we were able to redesign our website for all info-pages to be accessible via the landing page, or our header menu. Check out the site at www.astatebcm.com!
Thanks to connections through our campus minister at the A-State BCM I was able to travel to Memphis, TN to attend and work the 2024 Collegiate Summit, a national conference for Collegiate Ministers that happens once every three years. It was a blast to hear from so many talented speakers, meet other ministers & media coordinators, and capture moments that can help Collegiate Summit spread their message even further! I got to travel to Chicago with the Arkansas State BCM in March of 2024. I went in with the goal of ensuring that we were able to document as much as feasible without disturbing the mission work at hand so that we could use the media to promote missions in the future. We made a series of six posts while in Chicago, highlighting our different areas of ministry, our times of worship, and our times of fellowship. The photos that we took in Chicago are some of my favorite from the entire year! In the Fall of 2023, I had the opportunity to photography one of my favorite bands, The Grey Havens, on their Mt. Zion Caravan Tour concert in Little Rock, AR. I got to sit in and photograph their VIP session as well as the entire concert. It was an incredible experience to get to work in coordination with an artist who you enjoy. I had the absolute honor to return to World Changers in 2023 to spend another summer documenting work sites and getting testimonies from students determined to make a difference! This time not only as a audio-visual specialist, but also as a team leader! My team and I traveled all over the country, hosting or helping host missions camps in places like Lake Charles, LA; Cleveland, OH; Warner Robins, GA; and Panama City Beach, Florida! A (not so) little known fact is that my Bachelor's is in Computer Science! For my senior project, I lead a group of three other students in building a web app called 'Distro'. Distro's goal was to be a warehouse management database website, inspired by a need for inventory management at that coffee shop I worked at that had opened it's first new location! While the application had approximately 80% completion by the time of submission, we are still proud of what was accomplished! It featured separate user panels for four different types of users (site admins, business owners, warehouse managers, and store managers), account creation (with a verification process to link accounts to businesses), and a fair bit more! Nearly a year after our first recording, 'As We Gather' let me know they were doing another album recording. This time with more lights, more cameras, and more action (songs)! I got to shoot with several of my friends, holding one of the biggest (and heaviest) camera's I've ever had the pleasure of using. You can find the results on in a playlist here.
During my time working with World Changers, I got in contact with the marketing company who we worked with to promote the organization, Adelsberger Marketing. They informed me of their internship program, where I got to get my toes wet in the marketing world. It was an eye-opening experience to see the media world from a business perspective, and I dove in, getting to be one of the first editors for their new podcast, 'Content Machine'. World Changers is a non-profit organization that travels the country setting up Missions Camps to help low-income homeowners make repairs to their homes. They reached out to me for the first time in the Spring of 2022, and were looking for someone who could run audio or shoot video since someone backed out last minute. By sheer luck they knew someone who knew someone who knew me. You can see the videos I made while working with World Changers here.
One of the very first projects I was asked to work on was for As We Gather Worship, a band of friends from near and far lead by the worship pastor of Nettleton Baptist Church in Jonesboro, AR. The then Media Coordinator for Nettleton Baptist, Bryce Paxson, reached out to me asking to be his second-shooter for the project. We shot 3 songs, recording each song twice. It took several hours, and it is one of the most fond memories I have working a project. You can find the videos that I got to help make with 'As We Gather' here!
